Not until a third Commissioner? Gosh, what does it take for these Honorable Congressman, Commissioner or whoever so-and-so to realize it shouldn’t be about the Congress, it shouldn’t be about the CPSC, it shouldn’t be about politics or funding. It should be about American people.

While these Honorable so-and-so are playing their little politic game, there are many people, honest, lawbying, hardworking, good, ,”REAL”, people, out there struggling and suffering because of CPSIA. REAL People with REAL families to raise. What happen to basic human decency?

  2. Moore’s response boils down to “Let them eat cake” as far as I’m concerned.

It seems arrogant in the extreme to refuse to answer questions and to postpone even pursuing solutions to the real and pressing problems affecting American families and children, on the basis of a political squabble.

I’m a Democrat; this isn’t a party issue, it’s a small business, child welfare, hurting families issue, and it needs to be dealt with seriously and immediately. I’m very disappointed in Mr. Moore’s attitude.

I know that people are individually writing Mr. Moore expressing their surprise and dismay over his 1.5 page response as compared to Ms Nord’s 24 page response. The difference in intellectual rigor is striking -and embarrassing. You can write Mr. Moore at tmoore@cpsc.gov

  4. Jennifer says:

As a company that is attempting to comply with the law, I felt his letter was incredibly insulting and politically driven. I wrote him a letter.

  5. jolie says:

It seems that Moore is doing everything he can to save his job…even if it is wrong. He seems to be in bed with Waxman, hoping that Waxman will be in his corner.

SHAME ON YOU, COMMISSIONER MOORE. SHAME ON YOU!!!

and the icing on the cake…a top employee at the CPSC told me the “Career” people (meaning they can be fired) are afraid of speaking the truth about this law. The smartest scientists, lawyers, etc. who are the experts in the CPSC, are not able to speak the truth about this law.
